Destination 1.2 : Shanghai, China

It's my dad's favorite again, China
this time is Shanghai

it's the year end of 2004 (december)

with family and dad's friends

i remember that that time we got no camera
so was plan to get a digital camera
since dad heard about it
he bought a digital cam (canon)
which was really really old model
and bad in design
the excuse was it's a recommendation from his friends

i was like, wth, it's not cheap also
so we take the camera back to the store
and get a Olympus μ-mini DIGITAL (black)

this camera design was very nice
but the color available in malaysia wasn't that much
and black was the best (i started my cameraman life with this camera)

back to shanghai
Shanghai was very cold that time
i remember we went to the tv-station
then something with the drawing within crystal ball
and some deco with grow in the dark

then the food
rice every meals except once
it was dinner, we got noodle one night

and i remember we ate a kind of dessert

black glutinous rice at the branded street

it was so nice and warm to have that in the winter

then we also celebrated xmas there
it's wasn't that pleasant
the crowd is not that many like in Malaysia
and we couldn't get a cab back to the hotel
all the people were just rushing to get a cab
no queuing
and some cab even off duty

it's kinda scary to be like that in shanghai
it was very cold that night
and we spent around 2 hours in waiting
finally we got 1 and we are the 2nd earliest family back to the room
there's still around 5 more family i guess

and there's no snow

we spent our new year count down in the flight back to malaysia

i lost all the photos as i backup them in the wrong disc...
sad nya~~

Destination 3.1 : Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam

I went to Vietnam for my dad's company trip in year 2002
it was chinese new year i remember
i mean few days after CNY (around 2-3 days only)

then we got a lady tour guide who can speak cantonese fluently there
she's kinda big in size and funny in person

then i remember we ate some fish which is placed 'standing'
and a kind of fruit
the fruit is famous in Vietnam but we cannot get it in Malaysia

and i remember that they having fried spiders everywhere...
kinda scary right

it was kinda a pleasant trip but i'm regretted that i didn't bought their traditional costume...

Destination 3 : Vietnam

Vietnam is also in South East Asia

Left side of Vietnam is somehow surrounded by sea
and Vietnam is kinda long in it's shape

other than that i'm not sure about it

Cultural shock :
Man in Vietnam do pee everywhere beside the road
so you'll see them kinda like lining up in the forest peeing
of course, they are not facing the main road

Destination 2 : Thailand

Thailand is the neighborhood country to Malaysia
where is above of us...

From the passport, i only know that i went there twice
it was year 2000 and 2001
that's the my dad's passport btw, as i was not eligible to have passport yet

so Destination 2.1 and 2.2 is considered MISSING
the only information left is that
those places visited were somewhere below of Thailand

Destination 1.1 : Yunnan, China

Since China is so big, of course i only visited a part of it
it was Yunnan together with Guiyang
It was a family trip i remember
I was only hmmm, it was year 1997, so 9 (PMR i remember)
i was absent for the holiday class of PMR preparation i remember

since i was so so so young
i couldn't remember much about the tour
but i do remember some of them

some very very sweet and tasty berries we bought
then the waterfall where the HK drama, Journey to the west was shot
costume playing at somewhere with a lot of stones
and the toilet booth without door

then my mom told me that
there was one of my classmate's mother within the tour group
and that classmate of mine complaint to her mom that
why was i there and she can't be there
LOL

Destination 1 : China

China is the 1st oversea country that i've been to
it is because my dad loves china so much
my dad will go touring in china and only china (except neighboring countries e.g. thailand)

china is really really huge but i guess it is kinda impossible for me to travel the whole china

Destination 0.2.1 : Teluk Intan, Perak

I spent my 3 years when i was a baby in Teluk Intan, Perak
this is where my dad was born

my grandma was the one who took care of me
my grandparents stayed there, so as some relatives

i can hardly remember what's going on those times
cuz i was only 3 that time

but
i do come back at least once a year with my family for chinese new year
or even my grandpa's b'day or some other special celebration
this is where i spent most of my times other than KL

(it takes around 2 hours to travel from KL)

Destination 0.1 : Kuala Lumpur

The capital of Malaysia
and where i live for almost 20 years
this is where i grow up and where i live
although i was born in Selangor
but KL is my hometown

Destination 0 : Malaysia

Malaysia is my hometown
so it'll be the starting point of the tour

(with a lot of lost memories & histories within)
