Destination 5.1.2 : Castle + Double Shopping + Clubbing

Should be consider day 3 (actually is 2nd day only)
woke up a bit late today

went to a palace called 경북궁 (kyeong-puk-gong i guess)

then we only set that we meet after 30mins
cuz it seems small from outside

but then after we reached the garden

only we knew how big it is...
we need 1.5hours to visit every unit i guess
+ the road wasn't convenient at all


when we reached a pagoda
it's not within the palace
30mins almost passed
so we planned to go back
but we saw soh yee was walking up the hill
so we spent a bit more time there
then it ended up we got lost

due to road blocks and
those road we followed didn't lead us to the direction we facing...
phy and i were late for 30mins >.< (really OMG) after this we visited the museum next door for 15mins and i collected stamp on postcard it's nothing much to see in museum but it's FREE i think every museum in korea is FOC then we moved on to another destination in our plan we wanted to go to another palace forgot the name, should be 장덕궁 (chang-duk-gong) but it's a palace with something special called the secret garden it cost 5000won to enter the secret garden and we need a tour guide to bring us there we need to be there on time to get a tour guide else we won't be able to enter but then the entrance to the palace is charged separately it'll be another extra 2400won since we haven't take any breakfast or lunch yet and it's already 1.30p.m. so we decided to eat 1st then only come back for 2.30p.m. if we can make it so we searched somewhere around the station area and found a street of food
but a lot of japanese food
so we went to some cheaper restaurant
and this is my lunch

after that
we walked to 인사동 (insadong)
a street of hmmm... shopping?
a lot of art thingy sold here
we planned spent 2 hours here

there's a really nice looking building with something like
cray, drawing and whatsoever

these are clays...

then along the street
a lot of good looking snacks shop

so my plan was...
walk faster till the end and start walking back and buy whatever i want
since i walked so fast
i'm not so sure where's the rest of the people already

then i was returing
i bought this for my sis

cost around 13,000won (~RM50)
i'm sure she like it (and i hope so >.<) and nice looking snacks

then i saw the rest of the people still walking down
omg... they're so slow
it's around 1/4 of the street only and 1.3 hours is already gone...
so they just keep walking and i stopped by a coffee shop

it's the bunting at the entrance attractted me to stop by actually


the rice cake at the bottom there is nice
soft and good tasting
it's together with the red bean paste above one
there's chestnut included in them
so the chestnut is actually the secret for them
then the snack on the left is FOC i guess
the drink on the right is the 5 flavour tea
looks weird cause it's red in color
and very sour in taste

meet the rest of the gang when it's almost the time
+ i forgot to buy my sis some very cute looking pouch
that i saw around the starting of the street...

next station
bukit bintang of seoul, 명동 (myeongdong)

it's more like hmmm... maybe shinjuku of japan (i guess)

since i'm not sure what to buy here
i just follow murphy to find his cap
the store is MLB, seems really famous in korea
as everybody on the street is wearing this
while phy was choosing his hat...
i saw one really nice and it cost 99,000 won (~RM270)
omg... the cap is very nice looking
that time i hope phy can leave the shop quickly
so i won't be thinking of getting that cap...
but he spent almost 30mins there >.< and luckily i didn't bought that since there's still some time we went up to some music store was helping my sis to check for japanese album it's more expensive than what we can get in msia so ignore that but the korean album here is very cheap 3 album i bought Bigbang 4th mini album
GD and Top album

and 2NE1 1st album

each of them cost around RM40 only
with nice packaging and nice printing booklet
free posters are included in these new album too XD

then the dinner for today was
Ginseng Chicken Broth (recommended by Ms. Mengwei)
very famous here she said

i chose the normal chicken with wild ginseng 18,000 won
this meal included
Ginseng wine, alcohol taste quite strong actually
then glutinous rice, nothing special i guess
and the main one, the chicken broth
glutinous rice, herbs and ginseng is wrap within the chicken
so the chicken is filled with glutinous rice actually
the problem of this is just that i taste no ginseng...
maybe it's because i didn't pour the alcohol

since some of the people were tired so they went back
Mengwei, Zhengjing, Murphy and I still wandering around
cause they wanted to buy some bernie and glove for ski tomorrow

when we went back
sombody asked us to go for nightlife
it's recommended by a lot of people
the china gals we met at the subway when we just arrived
our lecturer, dr wong
and the High Park Hotel Owner, Jina
since it's recommended by so many people
why should we hold back

there's a lot of funny stuff happened here
it's already 0030 so we need to rush for train
soh yee still asking for a lot of stuff from owner
then while reaching the station, ken forgot to bring his transport ticket
so he went back and talked with Jina happily

when we reached there, it's the last train already and the station is closing
we chose the exit with most people walking
we couldn't find so we asked somebody there
and there's only 1 club in there... where's the other 10 clubs around?

since it's so late already
just queue up and wait
then Xiang didn't bring his passport in so he cannot go in
they need to check the age limit
Soh Yee and Yvonne didn't want to go in at the counter there...
so ended up only Cong Jie, Murphy and I...
20,000won per head and
they asked us to pay extra 3,000 won for don't know what checking
we didn't really understand so they just let us in without paying the extra 3k

this club, Viva Club
is packed with teenagers
it's only dancefloor, member area (upstair) and small resting area at the back
no table around but the drink bar
stage is only for the DJs



change our drink at the bar there
only a shot of vodka (phy said it's more like tequila)
btw, the drinks there is similar to msia price
tried to go to the stage there
it's so hard that we can hardly move
so just stayed back at where we were



okay now... what do we think about korean?
they are good in dancing right?
actually everybody here only shake the same way...
so... they can't dance i guess
those can dance already moved to TV already i guess

oh... forgot bout something
korean people spit everywhere on the street....
some people even spit in the club okay
SPIT INDOOR... OMG

we left after spending 1 hour there
cause we still need to meet with the rest of the people
so left around 230a.m.
and took cab back
cost around 14,000 won (in meter)
but quite far actually
and there's a lot of traffic lights on the road

that's the end of another day
nice sleep and hope can wake up for another day

Destination 5.1.1 : LCCT -> Incheon International Airport-> Seoul National University

Day 1

Start from beginning . . .

Arrived LCCT with friend Cong Jie around 11:40am

and checked in our luggages when Soh Yee arrived around 12:10p.m.

went into the terminal 01:30p.m.

we still didn't check in around 01.40p.m.

the announcement called out our name to rush us in >.<

so embarrassing...

air asia plane wasn't that bad as i expected

there's still place for me to place my feet

and then soh yee went to sit another empty seat

so we got an extra seat in between

then there's a very pretty korean air hostess serving our area

was sleeping + playing dissidia on and off in the plane

then reached korea around 930p.m.

collected luggage and rushed to the train station in the airport

we played a lot in the train and we met some China students who studied there

then we were rushing cause it's going to be 12 already

and we didn't really know when's the train closing

finally we made it and the last train station closed after we exit the last station

i was like OMG... we made it, else we'll need to sleep by the street already

but we did carry our luggage up and down though some staircase...

+ the last one which is already closed

we been searching though the area of motel and we couldn't get one

cuz these are places for prostitution (i guess)

finally we found one

and we had our first meal in korea around 2-3am in korea

this is our meal for dinner, supper and breakfast

slept around 3am woke up at 4am due to Murphy's SNORING~

OMG.... that was really loud okay

Day 2

Woke up 11am and went for food around the hotel area

we had a lot of problem in communicating

as nobody in the restaurant know english

and we don't know korean as well

came back to the hotel again cause we're extending our stay here

because we didn't think of staying for another night

station we went was 강남

we moved to Samsung d'Light and played a lot there

it's kinda fun being there

1st floor more in camera, video games and mobile phone

and we can create name below our name

the we can take photo, add effect to it

and the picture will be posted on the wall of Samsung d'Light

very interesting

then on the 2nd floor, it's more on other stuff... hmmm monitor i guess

we stayed there for 1.5 hours i guess

then we planned to moved to the 63building at station 여의도

and we missed the shuttle few minutes ago

there's no another shuttle till 9p.m.

this is where we missed the shutter bus

so we moved on to our next area

the 옹자station to the LowYat of Seoul, the i-park mall

tried some headphone branded Audio Tecnica

it's so freaking expensive... but the quality is very nice

the outdoor view there were very nice, the event park

it's like a wonderland to hmmm girls i guess

then back to the mall

and we accidentally attended some game opening event

kinda interesting as it's kind of live show on the screen XD

it's somewhere in the sport complex in the mall

after that we went for dinner

dinner in the train station area

saw Zheng Jing and his gal Ai Wei Wei in some bbq shop

then saw the rest in the noodle house

today dinner is better than before cause it's my favorite, noodle

this noodle is better than what i ate in other korean restaurant in malaysia

cause the texture of this is very Q but a bit spicy when reaching the end

went back to the hotel area after our meal as everyone is getting tired

but then we spent some time around the hotel area

bought a lot of snacks from the street

i'm really happy with this since i like street foods also

the point for today is...

we spent most of our time in the train

so it's freaking tired

the tips are plan everything before leaving

including how are you going to the destination

from A to Z

nite... as we're going to wake up around 8 in the morning

and it's 2.14a.m. now

Destination 5.1.0 : Preparation...

this is the toughest preparation i've ever did throughout all the tour i've been

cuz... i'll be away from home for 3 months

i've been started to pack my luggage right after my exams

been filtering my closets

and i've filtered out 1/6 of my closet out

and planned to take everything there

but still a bit a lot

then i've also wrote down my list for what to bring (MUST bring)

and those i need to buy before leaving

comb (i seldom use it also)

formal suit

leather shoes

and the rest are common clothing

after a while i found that i bring too many cloth...

so need to filter again, but dunno how

so i asked those ppl who been away from home for long time

and i started to get the number similar

my strategy is, i left my favorite home

cuz for those i'm taking over

there's a chance that they're going to be permanent resident there

everything is folded nicely and squeezed into the bag nicely

and the luggage is full

i mean just nice...

it seems like not even 20kg when i held it

when i weigh it... its 26kg WTF

OVERWEIGH!!!

and it's the minimum i get already....

i can only move one cloth to other bag

cuz the other bag is totally STUFFED

will see how later then...

FEELING :

at 1st it was nothing to me i guess

cuz this is not the 1st time i been oversea

and walk alone i guess

it just like another trip only

but today (i mean yesterday).... i felt uneasy

it's like i'm going to have homesick or what

i'm also not sure what's my feeling now

just it's not really good

it feels like i'm going to miss everything here

it's around ## more hours until the time i fly

plan to sleep a bit late today so that i can sleep in the plane

else i really don't know what to do there

+ it's AirAsia flight

i heard that it's not that comfortable

+ i didn't purchased the meal

hope everything will be all right

in case i couldn't online later

Goodbye Malaysia & Hi Korea

Destination 5.1 : To Seoul (Before Intern in Busan)

This is the first time i'll be staying oversea for so long

it's going to be 3 months +

i'm going there for intern

it'll be around end of february till end of may

this plan is actually recommended by Dr Wong Chee Onn

my lecturer for the subject human computer interaction

since i didn't really know where to go for intern

he suggested this with some facts of course

i got my offer letter

air ticket purchased

and my visa done

everything to enter korea is done (i hope)

planned to stay few days in Seoul once we arrived

and of course ski, since i never ski before

somebody said that the price to ski in korea is the cheapest

then will be staying in Busan for 3 months

when our intern is finished

i planned to visit some other parts in korea

should be somewhere near to Busan

then to Japan again...

to visit host family

actually i planned to go to work and travel to USA after that

due to the business

i won't have enough time to plan and get everything done

so no more going to USA

else i'll be staying away from Malaysia for more than 6 months already

my 1st and longest stay oversea

hope that my 3 months staying over will be nice

and not going to have homesick...

Destination 5 : Korea

한국

it takes me few minute to type this word

and check whether is it correct...

although i've learn a bit of korean in degree

but it's too tough for me to get the vowel right

okay

talk a bit bout korea

korea is very famous now

cuz of the those superstars from korea

and there's a lot of people are crazy for them

that's what i know i think

i'm not familiar with anything in korea

i didn't watch korean movie like others

i'm not really crazy for korean superstars like others also

so there's a lot for me to learn about korea

there'll be more for me to post here once i reached korea
