Destination 4.2.1 : 鋤焼ルミナリエ

Participated in the Lions Club Youth Exchange Program in the end of year 2008.
I was 21 that year (it's the limit of the program)
Successfully got a seat to Kansai (+ as the sub leader)
That year was kinda a hard time to fight for a seat
cuz 120+ people registered and around 40 people will be chosen (1/3 only)
luckily i scored quite well in the exam (i guess, else i won't be in)

Took the midnight flight on Dec 13th and reached the Kansai Internation Airport ONCE AGAIN in the morning
Lion Amatake took me to my host family (as they were too busy to fetch)
he introduced me to the Luminarie (神戸ルミナリエ)
only see some fence like thingy cuz it was still morning
It's currently winter in Japan
(Not that cold as I thought, ~10)

Reached Hyogo...
I was served tea with the family special cup while waiting the Lion discussing the schedule of my stay

Then i was told to make mochi, so i dress in something casual and sleeveless
host parents told me that it's cold outside need to wear something else
it's because i thought of making mochi at home....
went to the small interesting festival few roads back
i was given the chance to try
and i broke their hammer... T_T (i was too weak to carry that heavy hammer)
since there's no other plan after the festival
i took a nap till evening...

Dinner that day was SUKIYAKI 鋤焼 (好き焼じゃない)
that was the 1st time i ate the real 鋤焼
it was so so so delicious and the beef was so tender

the plan followed by 神戸ルミナリエ (that day was the last day of the event if i'm not mistaken)
this event is normally a tribute to a serious earthquake happened in Kobe few years ago
went to kobe city and queued for more than an hour for this
There's really a lot of people and what we normally see are lights
it's really cool to see this kind of huge event during the visit
