Destination 5.2.10 : Busan U + Haeundae

OMG... 2 months are over
I've been away from home for two months already
I miss Malaysia Food >.<

Monday, May 2nd

Had lunch with professor in the staff canteen
the food wasn't that nice but it's buffet style
the reason was they're out of food

then we went to KIT Marium for some drink
i still think that the coffee here is the best in Korea
although the coffee shop is not aromatic like others
but the coffee really smells good and taste better than the rest

Went out to Seomyeon for steamboat dinner (shabu shabu)
it's actually a farewell party for my "roomie" Mengwei
she's been staying here for almost 1.5 months
then she's going back to msia tomorrow

this is the 1st time i eat shabu shabu in korea
i like the soup of bone but not the spicy one
the spicy one is too spicy
our group photo
and the last film from the camera
thanks mengwei for the photos
they are mine XD

Tuesday, May 3rd

Felt very tired today
so i skipped korean class once again

Wednesday, May 4th

hi-tea around 3 something in KIT Marium cafe
i drank freshly made kiwi juice
it made my throat really itchy but the taste wasn't bad

went to busan station with Ken for 국밥
busan traditional dish
waited at the station there for dom dom and yy (working seniors)
and he took us there

the taste of this is much better than what we ate somewhere near homeplus
no wonder it's one of the most famous in busan
it doesn't taste like too much of pepper for this

after the meal
ken them went to Busan university area there
i didn't go as it's far
it'll be really late once we reach there
so i decided to stay in busan station area alone

there's nothing here actually
china town, shanghai street
this is more like a street for prostitution
then a row of night clubs
it's non-korean clubs i think
musical fountain
it's at the square right in front of the station
here

after that, i went to homeplus as shirly said there's a lot of discount items for children's day
it'll be may 5th
i exited too early at Gaya station
so i walked to Dongui University Station there only reach
omg... it's so so so freaking far

there's quite a number of discounted items but not for me
so i only grabbed something cheap and it costed me ~50,000 won
i thought it would be less...
half of the lights inside is off as it's already midnight
but this market is opened 24/7
then taxi back with costed a bit more as it's already after midnight

Thursday, May 5th

it's a public holiday today in korea
my prof said that it's youth's day
and others said it's children's day
as long as it's a holiday i'll be fine XD

but we're having korean replacement class in 11am
since we won't be around in june
so replacement cannot be in june
class till 1pm

we went to Busan University area after meal
it's really far from our area
and we were shocked once we reached there
full of people...

we only simple walked around with the sense of direction
then we stopped by at cold stones
ice-cream shop
there's too many choices in the menu
i just picked the top 1 and it costed me around 9,000 won
so what they do is mixed up the ice-cream with topping
mine is strawberry ice-cream with fresh strawberry, banana and 'candy'?
i wonder what's those
the taste was so-so for me
since i'm not a big fan for ice-cream
it's really tasted better than a lot of ice-cream out there for sure

we continued our journey in the shopping street after our hi-tea
what we saw was a lot of coffee shops in the town
+ full of handphones shops
row of sportswear shops

2 floors of Nike basketball store
i was like OMG when i was on the 2nd floor
the shoes displayed there was fantastically AWESOME
it's so nice that i don't really know which to pick
after a lot of filtering
there's a red shining one i like the most
costed around 179,000 won (~RM500)
the problem is there's no size for me...
my mood was all gone once i heard that
and i don't have any mood left for other design

then we walked up to Busan National University compound
what we saw 1st was the shopping complex in front of it
WTH... university with it's own shopping complex
and it's full of coffee shops in it
since it's a national uni, the size of the campus sure is big

we had our dinner in the complex
and it's Kentucky Fried Chicken, KFC
i choose Max Grilled chicken burger
which is not available in Malaysia
and it's the most expensive burger here
Zinger is still better compare to this
and the fries is still sucks...

we decided to go to Charlie Brown Cafe before we leave
on the way there
we saw a lot of restaurant with better food than KFC...
before our "supper"
i went to Samsung stall to buy some discounted branded earphones
at least these can be souvenirs for friends i guess
then headed to the cafe

a themed cafe with snoopy
i don't remember what drink i ordered
but the taste wasn't bad
ZhengJing found out that he missed out around 40,000 won
while eating in KFC, the cashier gave him less 40,000 won
so he went back to get it and luckily he got it back
i'm sure that we don't have a chance in msia

this place is really nice to study and chit-chat
we heard some indonesian sitting beside us
and yvonne said that they seems to be from DSU (our campus)
yvonne expected them don't understand chinese so we spoke chinese
we saw them waiting at our dorm lift while we came back
+ they were speaking chinese with other chinese LOL
yvonne was shocked and she spoke canton with us in the lift
LOL
SS at the cafe

Friday, May 6th

i've decided to work from room
since i'm going to design my presentation slide for the conference
the problem is...
prof went to office to find us to get back his Galaxy Tab
and i wasn't there >.<
i was really unlucky LOL
but then i went to his classroom to return it

Saturday, May 7th

went to the most famous beach in Busan
Haeundae
took very long ride of subway there
+ another long ride of bus to the Yonggungsa Temple

around the temple entrance
this temple is famous for it's building on the cliff
we spent a lot of time on the cliff instead of the temple
the wind is really nice and breezy
very nice scenery to take photos
then we went to the temple
at the temple there

after that... we took bus back to Haeundae
had 돈가스 for lunch
looks delicious and tastes so-so
moved on to the Nurimaru Apec House
on the way there
the BMW building

and passed by the beach
we saw something like cloud coming
and soh yee they said it's the sand blew from china
it seemed kinda scary and somehow cool
it's more like fog at higher area

ate ice-cream before we reached the destination
and finally here we are
there's nothing special inside except this...
may i know...
are these lizards?
how does lizard represent our country?
every country having something unique to represent their country
such as maneki neko, tiger, rafflesia, eagle, koala, lion and etc
then... cicakman? (lizardman)
OMG... no wonder a lot of korean know malaysia
because of lizard....
malaysia always famous in the wrong sense
or should i said infamous?

continue walking to the other side
and we reached heaven
and end of the world
LOL
it's the effect from the fog
we took a lot of group photos there

then moved back to the beach
and took another round of group photos
this turn is a bit hard
as we are running out of energy
+ we always off timing for the count
but at least i got an epic sand kick shoot
thanks to ZhengJing
he's really good at this kind of shooting already LOL

dinner... noodle that only cost 1,500 won the cheapest
everybody order the most expensive one 3,500 won
and i order the medium 2,5oo won one
they kept complaining while eating
as the fish was raw and the noodle was cold LOL
i'm okay with cold noodle actually

after that we planned to go to Dalmajigi Road
we somehow got lost and asked for direction
we were told that it's kinda far + foggy
ended up didn't go
and we found a club here
heard that it's really famous, Maktum
they're having their 3rd anniversary
and i wanted to go
the problems were..
a lot of people don't wanna go +
i'm wearing slipper >.<

ended up in cafe
A twosome place
i was having red ginseng frappe
and hazelnut cake
the cake tasted awesome
very good taste of roasted hazelnut
soft and creamy
one of the best cake i ever had in korea
chit-chatting a lot there
and heard something shocking

then back to room again after the long tiring journey
that night...
i dyed hair on my hair
my white hair is too lengthy and i couldn't take it anymore
so i spent whole night in the toilet
and zhengjing was waiting for shower >.<
i didn't know that it'll take this long... paiseh nya~

Sunday, May 8th

didn't do anything except Gmarket-ing whole day
it's because this is the last month i'll be here
and i got a 50,000 won gift voucher
it costed around RM150
OMG... and it's free without any term and condition
i can even withdraw them into cash

spent whole days searching for what should i buy with this
somehow got jammed within some items +
i wanna get another reward for shopping
i couldn't get that reward as i'm not sure about the requirements
got all 50,000 won spent and waiting for the items to arrive
i hope the items i chose is really nice and worthy
it's somehow expensive and i didn't really wanna pay with own money >.<
